Relax in the Garden

  • Breathing

Take 5 deep breaths or use 5 finger beathing:

    1.     Stretch out one hand so that you have space between your fingers.

    2.     Hold up your pointer finger from the other hand,

    3.     Start at the bottom of your thumb. Use your pointer finger to trace up your thumb as you slowly breathe in.

    4.     When you get to the top of your thumb, slowly breather out as you trace down the other side.

    5.     Repeat for all fingers until you have traced your whole hand.

Keep going until you feel more relaxed.

  • Be Still With A Leaf

    Welcome to St Stephen’s churchyard.

Pick a leaf and trace around it with your eyes as slow as you can and allow your thoughts to slow down. You will need to pause and allow yourself time to notice what is going on inside you as you answer the following questions.

    • What drew you to that leaf?

    • What is your attention drawn to as you study it more?

    • If the leaf could talk, what would it say?
